In sports medicine, when we analyze gait, one thing we pay particular attention to is the mechanics of the foot. Especially when the foot hits the ground, which typically is at the heel, and how this affects the foot/leg movements (biomechanics).In cycling, the contact/load point is at the ball of the foot.
